Thanks to all OV residents who shared over 8,900 ideas, perspectives, and expectations for the future!
Now it's time to use that feedback and get to work! Calling all residents interested in using the direction provided by residents during Phase 1, to create OV's Path Forward.
Your help is needed to make sure the plan represents residents. The next 10-year action plan will only be successful if it reflects what most residents said through surveys, online discussions, and at events.
Resident Working Groups
Five resident working groups will meet 4-5 times between January – May 2025. Meetings will mostly take place online with some in-person opportunities. Each working group will use the feedback from residents gathered over the last year to help forge goals, policies and actions about the following topics:
Community, parks and recreation, arts and culture, and safety
Housing
Growth, Development and Roadways
Economic Development and Town Finances
Environment, Water, and Climate
What is needed from you? Residents in working groups must live in Oro Valley, full or part-time. They must be able to commit 4-6 hoursa month to prepare and attend meetings. Experience relating to a topic area is encouraged but not required.
Community Academy
While waiting for the resident working groups to begin, consider participating in this year's Community Academy program. Although not a requirement, Oro Valley’s Community Academy is a great first step to learn more about the town and be uniquely prepared for a working group. Learn how OV currently manages growth and traffic, maintains its water supply and public safety, conserves the environment and more! Learn more about the program and register by September 27 by clicking HERE.
Sign-up for a resident working group below and tell your neighbors to join too!
Working groups are only open to residents. If you do not live in Oro Valley but want to get involved, please contact OVPathForward@orovalleyaz.gov.
