The process to create the community's next 10-year plan started and will end with residents. In 2023, a resident advisory group (pictured above) helped produce an award-winning Community Engagement Plan and brand. The engagement plan establishes the tools and guidelines to make this community-driven process convenient, accessible, inclusive, transparent, and meaningful. The effort to create the community's next 10-year action plan is divided into three phases.

Phase 1: Let's Talk(Oct. 2023 - Dec. 2024) An extensive amount of community engagement was conducted to identify residents' values, priorities and expectations for OV's future. The results from this phase produce a draft vision statement and guiding principles. Together, they set the framework for the plan and establish the foundation for resident working groups to continue building the plan in Phase 2.Read the direction provided by residents through Phase 1:

Phase 2: Let's Think(Jan. 2025) During this phase, resident working groups will use the resident direction provided in Phase 1 to forge goals, policies and implementation actions. This phase will result in a draft plan for resident review.Get involved in Phase 2:

Phase 3: Do it! Make it so!(2026) The final phase is making sure the plan stays true to the resident direction provided in Phase 1. The plan will be on the ballot in November 2026. If approved, the actions will be implemented over a 10-year timeframe to make the community's vision a reality.More information to come
