Activities that appeal to a wide range of people and offer a low cost for entry, such as pickleball will continue to grow in popularity. Additionally, youth sport clubs will continue to grow as more focus on preparing athletes for collegiate and professional level intensifies. Exploring options to accommodate an increased demand for sports facilities will be critical.
Focus on wellness for older adults was a key trend over the past 10 years. Providing accessible programs and activities for older adults will continue to be a need in OV.
Oro Valley has a dynamic trail system for hikers, bikers, in line skaters, runners, equestrians, and other users.
Oro Valley will need to focus on renovation and redevelopment of older infrastructure using the 2021 Parks and Recreation Master Plan document as a guideline
During Phase 1 (October 2023 - October 2024), residents shared their ideas, priorities and expectations for OV's future through the BIG Community Survey, 93 events, and online discussions.
